HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Happy Holidays from IN FOCUS!  We hope you'll have an enjoyable winter break.  Remember, students have a half day today, December 21, and classes will resume January 8.   On that note, the next IN FOCUS will be out on JANUARY 11.

We have some must-see videos this week!  College Grove Elementary School Principal Connie Kinder and Centennial High School Principal Dr. Terry Shrader spent a week in Sudan, Africa last month, and it is very interesting to hear what they have to say.  Plus, they provided us with some wonderful pictures and video.  CLICK HERE to check it out.  You don't want to skip this one.
Those of you looking for a laugh definitely want to check out the Mr. RHS pageant put on at Ravenwood High School.  There's nothing like seeing high school boys show off their "talent" on stage in front of their peers!  CLICK HERE to watch the video and enjoy a good chuckle.
Students and teachers Pinewood Elementary School recently helped set a world record by reading a passage from Charlotte's Web.  CLICK HERE to see their record breaking day.
Also, some eighth graders at Heritage Middle School recently took on a neat project revolving around a series of books by author Lois Lowry.  CLICK HERE to see.

Also this week, see which schools have held toy, clothing, or food drives for local families and organizations in need this year by clicking HERE.  Independence High School cross country runner Kathy Kroeger adds another big trophy to the mantle, becoming a national champion!  CLICK HERE for more on that.   Centennial High School's marching band gets a neat opportunity to participate in some Fiesta Bowl events in Phoenix, Arizona over the winter break.  CLICK HERE for info.  Also, Williamson County Schools gets a nice honor from the Nashville Business Journal.  CLICK HERE to read about it.  Plus, some former Williamson County Schools students now have their artwork on display at the Frist Center in Nashville.  CLICK HERE for more.   And of course, we can't forget about all our schools' holiday programs!  CLICK HERE for a full programming schedule of holiday events airing on Comcast Channel 3/Charter 96.
