 June 7, 2012

We hope you are having a great summer! This issue of IN FOCUS features two video stories.  In the first one, we'll show you how the principal at Fairview Middle School recently inspired his students by taking a LEAP OF FAITH.  Then, it's off to Spring Hill where students at Allendale Elementary School capped off the school year with their annual FIELD DAY.

Here at IN FOCUS, we love to show off student accomplishments. That's why we're proud to announce the WCS TOP TEN for the 2011-2012 school year, as well as the VALEDICTORIANS & SALUTATORIANS for the class of 2012.  Plus, more than a dozen teams from Williamson County schools competed last month at the 2012 Destination ImagiNation GLOBAL FINALS in Knoxville.  Find out how they did.  And we'll also recap the Williamson County students and teams who won state championships at this year's SPRING FLING.

A NEW PRINCIPAL has been named for Heritage Middle School in Thompson's Station.  We'll tell you who it is.  Plus, Williamson County Schools longest tenured employee has announced his RETIREMENT and the district is planning to open a new MALL KIOSK.  And don't forget to check out this week's RUMOR MILL where we discuss high school math requirements.

We hope you enjoy all this issue of IN FOCUS has to offer. Please encourage others to sign up for IN FOCUS so they can keep on top of what's going on inside Williamson County Schools. All they need to do is send us an EMAIL letting us know they'd like to begin receiving IN FOCUS.  The next issue will come out June 28.
