Issue 20
May 12, 2011

IN THIS ISSUE...

The school year is winding down and summer break is almost here.  The final day of school will be a half day for students May 24.  High School GRADUATION ceremonies will be held that following weekend.

This issue of IN FOCUS has plenty of exciting stories.  First up, we'll show you how a group of students at Brentwood High School are making a difference through a program called CARE BEARS.  Plus, fashion rules at Ravenwood High School, where students recently competed at the RAVENWOOD RUNWAY Fashion Show.  And cultures and customs from around the world were put on display May 6 as Kenrose Elementary School celebrated INTERNATIONAL DAY.

Some of the other stories you'll find in this issue of IN FOCUS include an update on the district BUDGET and information regarding Oak View Elementary's NEW PRINCIPAL.  We'll also tell you which students were named ACADEMIC ALL-STARS and run through the recipients of this week's AWARDS & ACCOLADES.  Plus, the district's high school MEDIA STUDENTS proved they're among the best in the state at two recent competitions, and the district honors its classified EMPLOYEES OF THE YEAR.

We hope you enjoy all this issue of IN FOCUS has to offer.  Please encourage others to sign up for IN FOCUS so they can keep on top of what's going on inside Williamson County Schools.  All they need to do is send us an EMAIL letting us know they'd like to begin receiving IN FOCUS.  The next issue will come out May 26.
