Identifying Students with Disabilities

Issue 22
June 9, 2011

We hope you are having a great summer!  This issue of IN FOCUS features two video stories.  In the first one, we'll take you to Sunset Elementary School where students hosted their own POETRY CAFE for parents.  Then, travel to Trinity Elementary School where fifth graders marked the end of an era with a special CELEBRATION.

Here at IN FOCUS, we love to show off student accomplishments.  That's why we are proud to announce the WCS TOP 10 for the 2010-2011 school year, as well as the VALEDICTORIANS & SALUTATORIANS for the class of 2011.  Plus, more than three dozen students were named ACADEMIC ALL-STARS this school year.  We'll recap this year's winners.  And don't forget to check out the AWARDS & ACCOLADES section, where we honor students for their accomplishments in academics, athletics and the arts.

Two brand new schools will open to students this fall in Franklin and Spring Hill.  We'll tell you when the RIBBON CUTTING ceremonies will be held for Clovercroft Elementary and Summit High.  Plus, we'll also update you on the effort to build a new high school in eastern Williamson County in this week's RUMOR MILL.  And students at Franklin High School capped off their high school experience with PROJECT GRADUATION.  We'll tell you how it went.

We hope you enjoy all this issue of IN FOCUS has to offer.  Please encourage others to sign up for IN FOCUS so they can keep on top of what's going on inside Williamson County Schools.  All they need to do is send us an EMAIL letting us know they'd like to begin receiving IN FOCUS.  The next issue will come out June 23.
