IN THIS ISSUE...

Hundreds of Williamson County students are staying busy this summer by participating in all sorts of fun and engaging activities.  One such event is the annual KIDS ON STAGE Summer Academy, which lets kids dabble in everything from rock music to acting.  We'll take you inside this year's academy and show you why this summer camp is truly one of a kind.

Some of the other stories you'll find in this issue of IN FOCUS include details about Grassland Middle School's NEW PRINCIPAL, a recent study that ranks three Williamson County HIGH SCHOOLS among the nation's best, and the return of LATE START DAYS.  Plus, the Williamson County School Board voted to extend Superintendent Dr. Mike Looney's CONTRACT, and families in need will have access to free school supplies at this year's BIG BACKPACK GIVEAWAY.

Williamson County students won several state championships at this year's Spring Fling.  We honor them in this week's STUDENT SPOTLIGHT.  Plus, Ravenwood High School has hired a new BASEBALL COACH, and students in grades 1-8 can learn all about the fundamentals of football at Franklin High's Youth FOOTBALL POWER CAMP.

We hope you enjoy all this issue of IN FOCUS has to offer.  Please encourage others to sign up for IN FOCUS so they can keep on top of what's going on inside Williamson County Schools.  All they need to do is send us an EMAIL letting us know they'd like to begin receiving IN FOCUS.  The next issue will come out July 7.
