It's hard to believe, but November is already here and that means Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away.  Remember, there will be no school for Williamson County students November 24-26 due to the Thanksgiving holiday.  Students will not return to the classroom until November 29.

We have several videos for you to enjoy this week.  In the first one, we'll show you how a partnership with a LOCAL FARM is changing the way students at two Williamson County schools eat lunch.  Plus, boys and girls at Hillsboro School in Leiper's Fork are learning all about the arts thanks to the new KIDS ON STAGE after school program.  And learn how a recent FUN RUN will wind up helping students at Heritage Elementary School.

Some of the other stories you'll find in this issue of IN FOCUS include a REZONING UPDATE, important information for potential SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS and details regarding the Centennial High HOLIDAY SHOW.  Plus, students at Woodland Middle School perform a Halloween concert for patients at Vanderbilt CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL and a group of teachers learn all about TEAM-BUILDING while hanging from ropes 40 feet in the air!

The students at Middle College High School begin performances of Faith County this week.  Check out the dates and times for that event as well as information regarding future performances at Brentwood, Independence, Page and Ravenwood high schools in our MUSIC/THEATRE section.  Plus, we honor a new group of ACADEMIC ALL-STARS in this issue of IN FOCUS.  And you'll find nearly four dozen snapshots from schools across the district in our IN FOCUS PHOTO GALLERY.

We hope you enjoy all this issue of IN FOCUS has to offer.  Please encourage others to sign up for IN FOCUS so they can keep on top of what's going on inside Williamson County Schools.  All they need to do is send us an EMAIL letting us know they'd like to begin receiving IN FOCUS.  Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, the next issue will not be released until December 2.
