This issue of IN FOCUS features a special performance of ALICE IN WONDERLAND, courtesy of the students at Ravenwood High School.  Plus, fifth graders explore the wonderful world of science at Chapman's Retreat Elementary School's first annual SCIENCE FAIR.  And we'll take you to Hillsboro K-8 where eighth graders spent weeks preparing their projects for HISTORY DAY.  Plus, be sure to check out some of the highlights from the Middle Tennessee high school hockey championship in this week's WCS SPORTS REPORT.

Some of the other stories you'll find in this issue of IN FOCUS include the latest regarding the search for a new DIRECTOR OF SCHOOLS and information on how to attend the WCS ART SHOW for free.  Plus, Centennial High School's cheerleading squad wins a NATIONAL TITLE, a Franklin High School student competes in the Special Olympics' World WINTER GAMES and Williamson County's most famous JUMP ROPE team wins first place at a recent tournament.

A local elementary school is planning to host a REPTILE EXPO.  We'll explain what that's all about.  Plus, find out what some local students are doing to help local STORM VICTIMS.  Also, we'll explain how a new advisory group is hoping to assist the parents of students with SPECIAL NEEDS.

This week's PHOTO GALLERY features five dozen snapshots from schools across the district.  Plus, find out which students were honored with this month's STUDENT SPOTLIGHT and take a trip inside the classroom as we recognize four new educators with our TEACHER FEATURE.  Also, don't forget to check out the MUSIC/THEATRE section, where you'll find information regarding upcoming performances of The Sound of Music and Beauty and the Beast.

As always, please encourage others to SIGN UP for IN FOCUS if they do not already receive it.  And be sure and SEND US any comments or suggestions you might have.  The next issue of IN FOCUS will be released on March 12.
