This issue of IN FOCUS features four videos for you to enjoy.  The first one takes you inside an amazing program called PROJECT OPPORTUNITY, which is used to teach important job skills to students with special needs.  Plus, you'll meet a second grader named Hannah who chose to donate her hair to a charity called LOCKS OF LOVE after learning her principal had cancer.  Fourth graders at Trinity Elementary concluded their study of 18th Century America with a special event called COLONIAL DAY.  We'll show you what that was all about.  And country music singer Rodney Atkins was one of several celebrities to read to students during READ ACROSS AMERICA week.   

Some of the other stories you'll find in this issue of IN FOCUS include new information about OPEN ZONED SCHOOLS, details regarding KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION, a complete list of GRADUATION dates and times and information about an exciting camp for rising eighth grade girls with an interest in MATH AND SCIENCE Plus, we'll tell you which Williamson County teachers were recently named Regional TEACHERS OF THE YEAR, and take you inside Franklin High School where students recently opened their very own FINANCIAL CENTER.

Also in this issue, we'll tell you about a free music event for high school students called CLEAN BREAK '09.  Plus, find out how much money Williamson County school employees were able to raise for the UNITED WAY.  And two WCS assistant principals are honored with a SPECIAL AWARD

If you're a fan of musicals, be sure and check out our MUSIC/THEATRE section where you'll find information regarding future performances of The King and I, The Sound of Music and Grease.  Plus, find out how you can be part of an exciting golf tournament and raise money for a local school at the same time.  Details are in our FUNDRAISER section.  And don't forget to check out the PHOTO GALLERY where you'll find dozens of snapshots from across the district.
