School is out and summer break is in full effect, but here at IN FOCUS we'll continue to keep you caught up on all the things happening throughout the district.  In this issue, we'll take you to Sunset Middle School where students recently teamed up with the MAKE-A-WISH Foundation to make a young boy's dream come true.  Plus, students at Centennial High treat local retirees to a SENIOR PROM.  And things are changing in school cafeterias across the district.  Find out what the Child Nutrition Department is doing to make SCHOOL LUNCH healthier.

Also in this issue, Nissan names it's TEACHER OF THE YEAR; students at one school collect SHOES FOR THE NEEDY; and the district crowns a BATTLE OF THE BOOKS champion.  From scholarship offers to math competitions, you'll find dozens of high achievers in our AWARDS & ACCOLADES section.  Plus, students at the Williamson County Transition Academy marked the end of the school year with a BBQ BASH.

More than two dozen students were recognized this month for first place finishes in state or national competitions.  You can check them out in our STUDENT SPOTLIGHT.  Plus, the prize patrol paid a visit to four more Williamson County teachers this month.  Find out which educators were recently honored with the WC-TV TEACHER FEATURE

As always please remind folks to SIGN UP to receive IN FOCUS.  Also, feel free to EMAIL US with any comments or suggestions.  The next issue of IN FOCUS will be released June 11.
