Construction crews across the county are hard at work with several projects underway.
As the Thompson’s Station elementary and middle campus begins to take shape and the new Page Middle and Fairview High auditoriums go up, it’s time for another construction update.
The Thompson’s Station campus had a big week with crews of all sorts on site to do tasks such as drilling, sampling and excavating. The site saw as many as 75 active workers on hand at points throughout the week.
In the most recent developments, two new walls have been constructed, drilling for geothermal wells has begun, and the excavation and leveling has started on the floor of the auditorium.
The new elementary and middle schools are slated for an August, 2018 opening.
The Page Middle School auditorium is also starting to take shape. The foundation and the framework for the new auditorium is close to being completed, and the walls of the two news classrooms have gone up.
The Fairview High auditorium is even further along. Framework is complete and all walls have been bricked or are in the process of being bricked.
Both auditoriums have contract completion dates of April, 2017.
