The Centennial High Dance Team didn’t spend the summer resting. The team attended a Universal Dance Association (UDA) camp at the University of Louisville in Kentucky, and the girls came back with several awards that prove they’re ready for the new season.
“We have a wonderful group of dancers who have worked so hard to come together as a team this year,” said head coach Natalie Coffin. “They continuously support and challenge one another to be better and meet high expectations.”
The girls performed a jazz routine they choreographed themselves as well as a team routine that earned them a bid to the National Dance Team Championship at Disney World in the spring.
The judges evaluated the team on several routines and awarded them a superior trophy. It’s a good way to end the summer and a promising start to the new year.
“I’m so proud of their success and am looking forward to seeing what they are able to accomplish together this season,” Coffin said.
