Williamson County Schools is making registering to vote easy by holding a Voter Drive at each high school in the district.

“This is the third year we’ve made a concerted effort to work with the Williamson County Election Commission to register eligible high school students,” said WCS Social Studies Curriculum Specialist David Rector. “It is so important that young people get involved. No matter the educational background or future career for which students are aiming, we all are citizens. It is important that citizen participation is part of their education, and the Voter Drive works toward that end.”

At Summit High, tables with registration forms were set up outside the cafeteria on September 19. All it took was a few minutes, and students were ready for the upcoming general election on November 6.

Registration is open to all students who will be 18 years old on or before November 6, 2018. The registration deadline is October 9.
