WCS Media Students Earn National Nominations

Ten former and current WCS students have earned national recognition for their work in media production and are in the running for six awards at the 2018 National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) National Student Production Awards.

Brentwood High School is tied for the most nominations in the country with five; Ravenwood High School is nominated in one category. Nominees were selected from high school student entries across the country in 23 programming and craft categories.

“I am extremely proud of these students, many of whom are now studying some form of broadcasting or communications in college,” said BHS TV and Film instructor Ronnie Adcock.  “We’ve had three nominations over the past two years, but nothing like this.”

The ceremony will be broadcast live on Thursday, October 18 beginning at 2 p.m. The National Student Production Awards page of the NATAS website lists where the livestream can be viewed.
