Third-grade students at Longview Elementary got up close and personal with their latest science projects.

While using their Studies of Life science kits, the students were able to see first-hand how plants, frogs, insects and even fiddler crabs interacted in an environment.

“In these lessons, students observe the structures,¬†functions and adaptations of a variety of living things,” said WCS Science Curriculum Specialist Jeffery Cicero. “The new science standards emphasize a hands-on approach, which students really enjoy.”
