The Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade is a holiday season tradition, and a Summit High student had the opportunity to see it from a different perspective.

Summit High senior Nathan Crane was a member of the Macy’s Great American Marching Band, a collection of 185 high school musicians from across the country. In order to be selected, students must submit a written application and a video audition. If they are chosen, the students get the opportunity to perform among celebrities and in front of millions of viewers during one of the world’s largest parades.

The band was under the direction of Auburn University’s Dr. Richard Good.
