Franklin High Transition II students are eager to show off their latest artwork.
A reception to celebrate the opening of Able Voices: Sharing Who We Are Through Our Photographs will be held at the Williamson County Community Services Building in Franklin December 11. Beginning at 6:30 p.m., snacks and refreshments will be provided to guests as they view the photo projects created by the students during the semester.
The exhibit is the result of a $10,000 grant given to Arc of Williamson County. The money is used to provide WCS Transition II students will updated photography equipment to fit their needs.
“They are learning to express themselves through photographs,” said WCS Student Support Services High School Specialist Maria Griego. “It’s a valuable program because it allows our students to explore the environment around them and gives them another method to have a voice.”
The Community Services Building is located at 129 West Fowlkes St. This event is free and open to the public.
