At Brentwood High’s Art Camp, it doesn’t matter how old an artist is. Whether they are 6 years old or 15, all creativity is encouraged.

Brentwood High art teacher Heather McHugh leads the students in several projects throughout the week, including botanical-dyeing t-shirts, building bird houses and creating concrete art.

“They get to experience things they would never even dream of getting to do in their regular classrooms,” said McHugh. “The students love the freedom. They get to take control of the project they’re making. Kids need that creative freedom.”
