The SafeStop bus tracking app has changed the way it sends notifications to parents.
The app now sends push notifications instead of text messages. Parents do not have to be actively using the app to receive these notifications.
This change comes as a result of text message pricing concerns. SafeStop will be communicating with parents through email to ensure that notifications are turned on. There will also be banners displayed on the login screen and the parent dashboard notifying users of the change.
