Parents were put to the test during a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) challenge February 28.

Third grade students and their parents had to transport a ping pong ball down a zip line using a paper cup, pipe cleaners, straws and other material. The challenge was part of a bigger parent outreach program that had been going on throughout the month.

“This month was simply to thank our amazing and supportive Oak View parent community,” said OVES Principal Amy Stephenson. “Each grade level invited parents to the classroom to participate in an activity with their student.”
