There are more food distribution opportunities available for families in Williamson County.
WCS Food Services is once again working with One Generation Away to host mobile food pantries at Westwood Elementary and Longview Elementary Saturday, May 2, beginning at 10 a.m. Both food pantries will run until all food is distributed. Volunteers will bring food directly to families’ cars.
The College Grove Food Pantry will distribute food Saturday mornings from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. The drive-thru food pantry will take place at College Grove United Methodist Church at 8568 Horton Highway in College Grove.
In Spring Hill, families may visit The Well Outreach Food Pantry on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and on Tuesday evenings from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visits are capped at twice per month. The Well Outreach Food Pantry is located at 5306 Main St. in Spring Hill.
A food pantry will also be held in Brentwood at Providence Baptist Church, located at 1668 Sunset Road, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. until noon.
In Franklin, Graceworks Community Resource Center will distribute food Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon and Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. The Graceworks Community Resource Center is located at 104 Southeast Parkway.
Also in Franklin, the Mid-Cumberland Community Action Agency will distribute food Wednesday, April 29, from its location at 129 West Fowlkes St. Call 615-742-1113, ext. 2022, to schedule a pick-up time.
Lastly, the Franklin Special School District will continue to distribute food to families with school-aged children on Mondays and Thursdays at Liberty Elementary and Poplar Grove School. Distribution will begin at 11 a.m. and continue until 12:30 p.m. Meals may also be delivered to select locations for those who cannot travel to the distribution sites.
