Run the Rainbow at Ravenwood High School’s Color Dash

If the idea of running on a Saturday morning doesn't get you excited, adding in the colors of the rainbow can make it a lot more inviting. Ravenwood High School's Best Buddies and Special Olympics programs are hosting the Color Dash on April 28. The 1.5-mile run starts at 9:30 a.m. and is directly followed by a celebratory Color Party. Take the second star to the right and head straight to Brentwood, because Woodland Middle is getting ready to put Disney's Peter Pan Jr. onstage. Join Peter Pan, Tinkerbell and the Darlings in Neverland during a performance that will make you never want to grow up. Tickets are $5 per student and $10 per adult, and seats are available for reservation at Woodland Middle's Seat Yourself page. Page Middle Brings Pride Rock Onstage

Lions are coming to Page Middle, but they aren't from the zoo. Page Middle School is proud to present The Lion King Jr. The Disney classic animated film comes to life onstage from April 13-21, so don't miss the chance to see Simba, Timon and Pumbaa singing and dancing in the savanna. Go Into the Woods with Sunset Middle

See the classic fairy tales onstage in Sunset Middle School's adaptation of Into the Woods Jr. The woods can be a scary place, and these classic storybook characters get right into the thick of things as they try to make it through. There are two performances: one each on April 13 and 14 at 7 p.m. Tickets for adults cost $7 each, and student tickets cost $5. Concessions will be available before the performance. The show will take place in the Sunset Middle gym, and doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Registration for Summit High School's annual Science Week is now open. It's a chance for rising third through eighth grade students to do their best Bill Nye impressions and perform hands-on experiments on topics ranging from space to geography and everything in between. Attention golf fans! Here is your chance to enjoy a weekend of world-class golf while supporting Williamson County Schools. The 2018 Nashville Golf Open (NGO) will be held May 24-27 at the Nashville Golf & Athletic Club in Brentwood, and online ticket sales will benefit WCS middle and high schools. This informational meeting will cover the opportunities available to students in the ninth-twelfth grades for the 2018-19 school year. There will be a presentation followed by a Q&A session. Lunch with the Leadership March 20

Join WCS Superintendent Dr. Mike Looney Tuesday, March 20 as he hosts a live Q-and-A session on the district's Facebook page. The March edition of Lunch with the Leadership will begin at noon and last approximately 30 minutes. Anyone who is interested in asking questions should log on to the Williamson County Schools Facebook page March 20 at noon. Viewers will be able to ask questions by clicking on the comment section. Though there will likely not be time to answer all the questions, the superintendent will address as many concerns as possible.
