Hello! My name is Carrie Gaddis and I am the Library Media Specialist for Nolensville Elementary School. I grew up in Madisonville, KY and then attended Western Kentucky University with my twin sister, Shari, where I received a BS in Finance. I met my husband, Thoma` Gaddis, who grew up in Nashville, at WKU. After college, I worked for Ford Credit for several years and then went on maternity leave with my first of 3 daughters. Besides becoming a Jazzercise franchise owner and teaching that part-time, I stayed home with my girls for about 15 years. During those years, we moved several times around the area and lived a couple of years in Powder Springs, GA. In 2007 we moved to Nolensville, TN.
All three of my girls attended Nolensville Elementary. When my youngest was about to begin kindergarten, I decided that I would eventually go back to work, but knew I wanted to do something other than finance. And then it came to me!! Librarian!!! I loved reading, technology, and research, and I knew I could share my passion with others. I graduated from MTSU in December 2011 with a Masters of Education, majoring in Library Science. I was a substitute teacher from January 2012 until 2015 when I worked as an interim library for Independence High School. I started working at NES January, 2016.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I look forward to having your children in the library!!
