Winter Sports Schedules
NHS Boy’s Basketball is dedicated to forming young men to become productive citizens of the community. We work to uphold strong moral character, promote the Nolensville Knights, and represent the Nolensville Community in a positive way. Being apart of this program is a privilege not a right. We strive to create a safe environment for our players and center our work around the three key beliefs: Family, brotherhood, and togetherness.
Basketball players are expected to be at every scheduled season practice and game. Regular season activities begin the last week of October and can go through the beginning of March. Off season activities are split up into three categories. Fall workouts typically begin the second week of August and consist of an extensive weightlifting and conditioning program. Spring workouts typically begin two weeks following the season and include one week of spring practice before exams. The final off season category is summer workouts, which include team camps in June and open gym activities in July. We expect our players to excel both in the classroom and on the court.
Basketball tryouts are held each spring for the following year on the last day of school. Incoming freshmen will tryout separately on this day. Please check the newsletter or NHS Basketball twitter (@wcsNHSwl) for times.
If you have any questions regarding NHS Boy’s Basketball, please contact Head Coach Wes Lambert or call the school’s front office.
Lady Knights Basketball
The Lady Knights Basketball program is for young ladies interested in playing competitive high school basketball at a high level with sportsmanship and dedication.
Players are expected to attend conditioning and open gyms 3 days a week in the fall and spring if they are not participating in another school sport.
There will also be practice and games played during the summer from the end of school in May until the last week of June.
During the season, players will practice every day after school and some weekends. Games will be played twice a week, usually on Tuesday and Friday night. The season runs from November through February. There will be games and practices over the holiday breaks.
Tryouts are held each spring to set the team for the summer season and in the fall on the first day of practice for any athlete that missed the spring tryout. Players must have a physical to tryout.
Any questions regarding Lady Knight Basketball, please contact Head Coach Chris Ladd or call the main office.

NHS Wrestling team combines technique, strength, conditioning, and grit to pin their opponents. Wrestlers will learn accountability, resilience, team work, discipline and technique during the season from Late October to Mid-February.
Wrestlers are expected to attend practice every day, lift weights and condition. They are also expected to keep their grades to an acceptable level.
If you make it through practice and you have all your forms turned in you made the team.
If you have any questions please contact Josh Peck, Head Wrestling Coach.
