Grassland Middle Renovation
Project Description:
Grassland Middle School opened in 1986. To accommodate growth, classroom additions were constructed in 1997 and 2006. The Performing Arts Center was opened in 2019. Williamson County will renovate the main school building through a multi-phased approach. While renovation projects typically do not add capacity to a building, they do provide a refreshing update to the building and may also improve efficiency and safety. Renovation projects take place during school breaks (mainly Summer Break) to minimize disruption.
The scope of the first phase includes a refresh of the 6th grade restrooms, reconstruction of the administrative/entrance area, and gym floor rescreening. Future phases will include floor/floor base replacement, ceiling tile replacement, door and hardware replacement, restroom plumbing fixture replacement, internal signage replacement, casework replacement, and fresh paint through the building.

Key Dates:
- 6th grade bathroom floors and fixtures were replaced in December 2025.
- A pre-bid meeting was held on January 2, 2026.
- Bids for the remaining scope will be opened on January 29, 2026.
