Schools

WCS has approximately 42,000 students enrolled in Pre-K - 12 for the 2025-2026 school year*. There are 52 schools: 11 high schools, 11 middle schools, 29 elementary schools, and one K-8 school. The district’s graduating class of 2025 posted an ACT composite score of 25.3, which is well above the State’s average composite score of 19.3. Class of 2025 scores will be posted when available. WCS ranks first in overall academic achievement.

Kindergarten Registration

Families registering their child for Kindergarten need to visit the Student Enrollment/Registration page for necessary documents and instructions for online enrollment. If this is your first child in WCS, please select the top box and follow those instructions. If you have another child or other children who attend a school in WCS, please select the second toggle and follow those instructions.

Please note: A child entering kindergarten shall be no less than five (5) years of age on or before August 15 of the current year.
