Student Interest Groups

Cheetah Singers
All fourth and fifth-grade students have the option to join Cheetah Singers, the school chorus. Students involved in chorus meet once a week before school. These students will have many performance opportunities throughout the school year, including the Williamson County Fine Arts Festival in the Spring. To join, please see Miss. Webb for an info letter and sign up sheet.

Jump Rope Crew
Open to students in 3rd – 5th grade, the season culminates in an assembly performance. Permission slips are sent home typically at the end of the first semester. This activity runs from January – March.

Cheetah Coalition
Cheetah Coalition offers students in grades 1st – 5th a structured fun environment for students to train for a 5K race! Last year students in the cheetah coalition trained for and ran an area 5 K in the fall. Fall running begins in August and ends with the completion of the 5K in October. Permission forms are sent out approximately two weeks before practice begins.

Academic Interest Groups

Chee-TV News Crew
Chee-TV is the daily CRES news program that utilizes students from all grades to create and film a news program that highlights daily announcements, birthdays, lunch menu, etc. Students are chosen via teacher recommendation.

STEM Lab
CRES is part of the WCS STEM Initiative. Our Learning Commons Area is part of that initiative and houses our Media Center and STEM Lab, both of which are available daily to students and teachers. The Learning Commons is more than a Library or a Lab; it is a space and a mindset. Students attend a class in the learning commons and explore various STEM activities, check out books, and learn all about technology. All of our students in kindergarten through fifth grade also take part in one full day of STEM challenges each quarter.
Service Based Groups

Cheetah Council
This elite group of students is chosen from 4th and 5th grades to represent the CRES student body. They help lead the school by character, example, and service. Two students per class are chosen via teacher recommendation in August of each year.

Safety Patrol
Safety Patrol employs 5th-grade volunteers to aid in student arrival and dismissal. Sign-ups for this group are done in August of every year. Safety Patrol is a year-long commitment.

Cheetah Pals
A program that pairs a 4th or 5th-grade peer with a student in our Student Support Services Program. Together, the pair complete art projects, activities, etc. Students are chosen in August via teacher recommendation. This program continues for the school year.
