Developing the Whole Child

School Counselors meet with all students during guidance class and offer several small groups throughout the year. Groups and lessons focus on personal/social, academic, and career domains of development. This is accomplished through classroom guidance lessons, small group counseling, and individual counseling.  We also consult with parents and teachers on how to help foster student success.

Some of the topics that are covered in guidance class are: goal setting, organization, test taking strategies, friendships, self-awareness, time management, identifying different emotions, and expressing emotions appropriately.  We also incorporate the WCS character traits into our school counseling program.
