The Counseling Department at Spring Station Middle School supports the academic and personal development of all students. Counselors also help to coordinate programs such as orientation for new students and Career Fair. They aide with the transition to high school, and provide academic support. Middle school is an exciting time of growth and change and the counseling department can help parents and students adjust to the transitions that take place during these years.
The vision of Spring Station Middle School’s Counseling Department is for all students to depart empowered with the knowledge and skills necessary to reach their fullest potential as respectful, responsible citizens.
The mission of the Spring Station Middle School Counseling Department is to provide students with a comprehensive school counseling program that helps all students reach their maximum potential by delivering a program which promotes academic achievement, career development and social-emotional growth.
- YouScience – Eighth grade students will be taking this Career Aptitude test through their homeroom classes on October 29, 2019. School counselors will conduct follow-up lessons the week after, to relate it to the Career Quest being held on November 7, 2019.
- Career Quest – Students will interview community business members from around Middle Tennessee at the Williamson County Ag Center. Permission forms will be sent home October 28, 2019. In order to attend, they must be returned by November 1, 2019.
- Renaissance High School – Staff from this smaller, relationship focused school will visit Spring Station on November 1, 2019, to talk about their programs and the application process.
