Library and Technology Resources

The Spring Station Middle School Media Center is an important hub of discovery and teaching. Our collection includes more than 14,000 diverse items essential to research and learning, as well as many research databases, giving students access to millions of resources materials 24/7, from any computer. We also have a large number of popular fiction selections.

Reading is a joy, a privilege and the right of every student. As you select the library books you will read, please understand that every book is not the best choice for every student. If a book is unappealing or offensive to you in any way, please return it and select another. You, the student, know better than we, the library staff, what materials best serve you and your standards and beliefs.

Library Happenings

  • Book Club

Do you love to read? Would you like to challenge yourself to read more? Do you like to recommend books to your friends? In the coming school year, we will be reading some of the Volunteer State Book Award Nominees and discussing them after school on Mondays from 2:45 PM – 4:00 PM.

  • Battle of the Books (BOB)

All Williamson County middle schools compete in this book trivia competition. Students are asked questions based on the information in the books and must answer correctly to score points for their teams. The team with the highest score earns bragging rights and a trophy. If you are interested in becoming a member of the (BOB) Team, this is what you need to do: Read these eight titles, between now thru the end of November. Take a qualifying test in December. This test is multiple choice. The top eight scorers will be on the SSMS Battle of the Books team. For more information, stop by the library.

  • Book Fair

Our annual book fair is held the first week in December.
