“Some say freedom is free, but I tend to disagree.”

This weekend, our Yellow Jacket Battalion took part in honoring our veterans by laying wreaths on the graves of fallen soldiers at the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. The JROTC Honorguard and Saberguard performed the tradition-filled table ceremony, accompanied by a 21 gun salute, live bagpipes, and speeches from honored and respected veterans who came to support the Wreaths Across America foundation.

After the ceremony, around 10,000 wreaths were laid on the graves stretching across the landscape. The Yellow Jacket Battalion army instructor First Sergeant Turk took part in honoring by laying the Prisoners of War and Missing in Action wreath.
