What first comes to your mind when you think of the worlds “student athlete”? Hardworking, perseverance, sacrifice, would usually all come to mind. One word that would usually come to a student athlete themselves might be frustration, or stress. This is because there is so much responsibility when being and academic and an athlete at the same time. you have to know how to balance everything at one time.
Easton Huddleston, a senior at Fairview High plays both basketball and football. In an interview he said “You can become easily frustrated when you don’t perform as well as you know you can.” Which is very relatable. Any athlete knows their full potential, and when they don’t reach that during a game or practice, it can become extremely frustrating.
